Description
A flaw was found in the f2fs (Flash-Friendly File System) component of the Linux kernel. When the system attempts to allocate new data blocks, it may incorrectly increment the count of valid blocks without properly reversing this action if the allocation process fails. This oversight leads to a permanent leak in the block count tracking. Over time, this resource leak could be exploited by a local attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) by exhausting available system resources.
