Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Data Access MONitor (DAMON) sample modules, specifically in how they handle failures during the damon_start() operation. An authenticated local attacker with administrative privileges could exploit this by triggering a damon_start() failure, leading to a memory leak. This continuous memory consumption could potentially disrupt subsequent DAMON operations and, in some cases, lead to a use-after-free condition, impacting system stability.
