Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's net: fec component. The fec_ptp_stop() function is unconditionally called during device initialization failure or device removal, even if the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) was not previously initialized. This incorrect state transition could lead to system instability or a denial of service related to PTP functionality.
