Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's net/smc component. A local unprivileged user can exploit this vulnerability by repeatedly attempting to create IPPROTO_SMC sockets while a BPF (Berkeley Packet Filter) program denies the creation. This leads to a memory leak, allowing the user to consume unbounded kernel memory and cause a denial of service (DoS) on the system.
