Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's OCFS2 (Oracle Cluster File System 2) cluster heartbeat mechanism. When a local node within the cluster is reset, an internal flag is not properly cleared, leading to an inconsistent state. This inconsistency can cause the system's heartbeat monitoring process to attempt to access an invalid memory location. The issue results in a memory corruption vulnerability, which could lead to a system crash and a denial of service.
