Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel. The cros_ec_debugfs component registers a panic notifier but does not unregister it when the component is removed. This oversight allows a subsequent system panic to attempt to call into the removed instance, leading to access of previously released memory. Such an event can cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
