Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's asus-wireless driver. When the driver is force-bound to a device lacking an ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) companion object, it can lead to a NULL pointer dereference. This occurs because the asus_wireless_probe() function incorrectly stores a NULL pointer, which is later used by asus_wireless_remove() during unbinding. A local attacker could potentially exploit this to cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
