Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's dm-pcache component. An attacker with administrative privileges (CAP_SYS_ADMIN) can supply a specially crafted cache device with an out-of-range segment identifier. This can lead to an out-of-bounds read and write, resulting in memory corruption and potentially allowing for system instability or further compromise.
