Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Rockchip video decoder (rkvdec) driver. The driver fails to properly validate the bounds of High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) tile dimensions and Picture Parameter Set (PPS) identifiers received from untrusted input. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting specially crafted video stream parameters, causing an out-of-bounds write into kernel memory. This issue primarily leads to memory corruption and a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).
