Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's sunvdc (Sun Virtual Disk Client) driver, which can lead to a Denial of Service (DoS). When transmitting a virtual disk request fails, the driver does not release or unmap the associated Logical Domain Channel (LDC) entries, causing a persistent resource leak. A local user generating heavy disk activity under failure conditions can trigger this issue repeatedly, steadily exhausting the channel's mapping table. This resource depletion halts subsequent disk operations, rendering the storage device unresponsive until the system is rebooted.
