Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's fbnic network driver. When transmitting a burst of network packets, the driver defers notifying the network hardware until the final packet in the batch is processed. If that concluding packet is dropped due to an error, such as memory handling or direct memory access mapping failures, the driver does not notify the hardware for the preceding packets. This can leave pending packets unprocessed and cause the transmit queue to stall, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
