Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) subsystem for ARM64. A local privileged user can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by initializing a virtual machine with inconsistent Scalable Vector Extension (SVE) settings. This condition leads to a null pointer dereference when loading CPU state during a context switch, resulting in a hypervisor crash.
