Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Virtual Sockets (vsock) subsystem during Virtual Machine Communication Interface (VMCI) datagram socket closure. When closing a datagram socket, incoming packets added to the socket's backlog can be moved back to the receive queue without proper cleanup. A local attacker could exploit this flaw to continuously leak kernel memory, potentially leading to resource exhaustion and a Denial of Service (DoS).
