Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Google Virtual Ethernet (gve) driver. A remote attacker could cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by generating network traffic that triggers receive errors on interfaces configured with zero-copy packet buffers. Because the driver fails to release the associated socket buffer when an error completion descriptor is encountered, continuous error conditions result in memory leaks that exhaust system resources.
