Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's dm-integrity subsystem. When operating in inline mode with a tag size larger than the expected maximum digest size, checksum calculation pads data past the boundary of a fixed-size stack buffer. A local privileged user configuring an integrity device with an oversized tag can trigger this stack-based buffer overflow during read operations, leading to a system crash and Denial of Service (DoS).
