Description

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's sched_ext scheduler component. When a task is placed back onto a CPU's local dispatch queue under specific scheduler configurations, the kernel fails to reschedule the CPU, causing it to idle while tasks wait to execute. A local user can trigger this condition during process lifecycle operations, such as process termination, leading to system stalls and a Denial of Service (DoS).
