Description
A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's io_uring subsystem. A local user can trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) condition due to missing preemption protection during internal queue updates. When a lower-priority task updating a queue is interrupted by a higher-priority task on the same processor core, the higher-priority task enters an endless retry loop. This issue can stall the processor and cause the system to become unresponsive.
